Lion Kissing Its Rescuer

Maybe I am a sucker for all this animal stuff, but really, have you ever seen anything like this? This lion was found by the woman in the video six years ago. He had been badly injured. She took care of him, nursed him back to health, and when he was ready, she had the lion sent to an animal sanctuary. When she came by to see him, this was the greeting she received. Extraordinary is the only word I can use to describe this scene.

Manhattan - Woody Allen

I love New York, at least the way it used to be, before Bloomberg and Giuliani. The 70s may have been a painful time for NY, but damn, they were fun too, and New York was gorgeous as all hell. Now, in this age of luxury condos and rampant overdevelopment, it does my heart some solace to see a reminder of what the city used to represent. Woody Allen gets his share of (deserved) crap, but no one can fail to acknowledge his towering genius and his love for his home town.
